Hello, My name is Taylor Desjardins. I was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Growing up, I played basketball, soccer, and hockey, and later developed an interest in martial arts. My love for storytelling began early, inspired by my grandfather, who always had a camera in his hand and filmed our family moments in a way that felt special and intentional. His passion made me curious about how films are created and why they feel the way they do. 

 

Another major influence was YouTuber McJuggerNuggets (Jesse Ridgeway). His Psycho Series felt incredibly real to me, and I connected deeply with the emotional storytelling, which inspired me to want to tell my own stories. Television played a huge role in my childhood, with shows like Drake & Josh, Victorious, King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, iCarly, and The Brady Bunch. Christopher Nolan is my favorite director, and I love films starring Jim Carrey, as well as action movies like The Avengers, The Dark Knight, and the original Spiderman

 

Cinematography is my favorite aspect of filmmaking because it sets the tone and emotional mood through visuals, lighting, and sound. After high school, I attended Bridgewater State University, double majoring in Film & Video Production and Psychology. During my time at university,  I worked on a variety of student films, including Tunnel Vision, The Art Of Jealousy, and Suspended Frequencies. My screenwriting work has received recognition, including awards for Motorhead Fusion, as well as wins in the Hollywood Storytellers script competition, New York Screenwriting Awards, and Honorable mention at the Palm Springs Diversity Screenplay contest. My film Suspended Frequencies received recognition, including The Telly Awards for Bronze Best Student Film. In 2025 ,I was a Judge for the California Music Video & Film Awards. 

 

I have worked with a wide range of cameras and equipment, including Sony A7III, Canon T5i, Rebel T7i, and Canon R8, Which I currently use as my primary camera. I enjoy the flexibility of mirrorless systems and pair my work with Canon RF lenses, Rode and Boom microphones, and DJI Ronin RS3 gimbal.

 

As I continue to develop my craft, I focus on creating emotionally driven stories through cinematography, sound, and visual storytelling. I am deeply passionate about filmmaking and excited to see where this journey continues.
